Claude Code
The Keygrip Claude Mod
Your project's deploy queue, each page's edits and checks, and the page before and after, in a panel beside the chat.
Five minutes, once per machine. You need Claude Code — the desktop app's Code tab or the terminal CLI — and a client key from the Keygrip project you deploy for. No GitHub account needed: the marketplace is a public repository.
1 · Get the key
Ask your Keygrip contact for a client key, or if you have a Keygrip login, open the project's
Settings → Client MCP access → Create client key. It starts with
kg_client_ and is scoped to one project. Treat it like a password: it lets the
holder read, edit and approve your work orders.
What the mod sends. Using Keygrip's client tools means Keygrip records this session's context — from the agent's first Keygrip tool call on — about your site, CMS, templates and preferences, to improve the next page. The raw conversation is kept 90 days; the summary drawn from it is kept with the project. The mod does this for you: after each turn of a session in which your agent has called a Keygrip tool, it sends the conversation since its last send (nothing from before the message that led to that first call), and a final send when the session ends. Keygrip turns it into a short record of your CMS, templates and preferences; any change to what Keygrip knows about you waits for a person to accept it.
2 · Install it
Pick the one you use. Both end with the pane asking for the key, once.
Claude Desktop
- Open a Code tab and press + next to the prompt box, then Plugins → Add plugin.
- On the Marketplaces tab choose Add marketplace and enter
KeygripGit/claude-modsKeygripGit/claude-mods - On the Discover tab, open workorder-pane and choose Install for you.
- Open a new Code tab and type
/workorders. Paste the key when the pane asks.
Terminal
Two commands, then start Claude Code and type /workorders:
claude plugin marketplace add KeygripGit/claude-mods claude plugin install workorder-pane@keygrip
No git on the machine? Use this marketplace instead (it needs only a network connection):
claude plugin marketplace add https://app.keygrip.ai/mods/marketplace.json claude plugin install workorder-pane@keygrip-app
3 · Use it
The first time, the pane asks for the client key: paste it and press Enter. It is kept on this
machine only, and the pane never asks again (k on the queue changes it). Nothing else
to configure.
The pane lists your project's work orders, each marked approved, awaiting approval or live; pick one and the tabs are numbered
1–7 (b goes back). Tab 7 is the page preview:
p toggles the page as served now against the page with the edits applied,
n/u scroll, r re-renders. The desktop app draws the picture
in every case; in a terminal, pixels need kitty (0.28 or newer) or
Ghostty, and other terminals show the caption plus a link that opens the same
preview as a page here.
Updating
Desktop: + → Plugins → Manage plugins → workorder-pane → Update.
Terminal: claude plugin update workorder-pane@keygrip. Current version:
workorder-pane 0.10.0.
If something fails
- "the key was refused" in the pane: the key is wrong or was deleted. Press
kon the queue and paste a current one. - "Failed to add marketplace" in the desktop app: a marketplace named
keygripis already declared on this machine. Remove it under Manage plugins → Marketplaces and fromextraKnownMarketplacesin your Claude settings file, then add it again.
